Clear Aperture Media was responsible for producing video content for the campaign. Sydney Grove Music was approached to write an original score for the four promotional videos to bring their stories to life.
Dad School
Dad School is an e-learning course created by Dr. Mark Stibbe, Tim Williams (UK) and Theresa Thompson Goode (USA). An eight-week online course designed to support fathers or father figures.
I was approached to compose and record a bespoke musical score, including a unique musical indent, for the full course and promotional assets.
Monkey
Monkey was written and animated by Yuki Lau. A short film project, Monkey follows a character through an eerie and unfamiliar world while he interacts with objects and creatures. Hoping to understand this world he makes a series of bad choices with the help of a Monkey. This story is was written to symbolise the slippery slope of drug abuse.
This project was an exploration of sound design. With a unique animation style and no dialogue, the soundscape carries a lot of the narrative weight; character themes, locations and textures needed to be conveyed in the sound.
Her Hands
“A journey into Otobong Nkanga’s creative mind”. Her Hands explores Otobong, the Nigerian-born visual artist’s, process. This project was presented as a part of an exhibit at TATE Modern in London, in which a number of animators and creators collaborated to bring some pre recorded artist interviews to life.
This project was all about balance, movement and subtlety. Capturing the sentiment of the artists words and blending into the animation were paramount.
